BETSY ANSARA

BODYWORK & MASSAGE THERAPY | YOGA

Betsy received her certification in massage therapy through Boulder College of Massage Therapy. There she studied a variety of modalities including Swedish, Deep Tissue, Normalization of Soft Tissue, Sports, Prenatal, Myofacial release, CranioSacral Therapy, Shiatsu and Special Populations. Betsy would most closely label herself as an integrative massage therapist in that she uses a combination of all of these styles and energy work to create a customized session for what the individual needs in that particular moment. She works holistically and believes that mind, body and spirit are connected. Betsy holds an enormous amount of space for her clients by being present and working mindfully and intuitively from a place of acceptance. She believes that healing comes from within and helps clients access that with a wide range of focuses including pain relief, stress reduction, postural correction, nervous system regulation, emotional relief, body awareness and relaxation. Betsy works from a very creative space and her bodywork is truly an art and experience.

She describes her work as integrative bodywork/massage therapy. Betsy uses a number of different modalities in a session based on the client’s individual needs and goals, whether it be physical, emotional or spiritual. Her work is creative, fluid, and restorative.

Betsy initially started practicing yoga regularly as a way to self care for her body as she started her career in bodywork and massage therapy in 2010. She became and continues to be fascinated by the connection of the mind and body. It soon became a huge part of her life and she found herself in awe of not only the physical, but also the mental and spiritual benefits it could provide. She truly believes in the healing power of yoga. She is passionate about empowering others to connect more deeply with themselves. She completed her 200 hour yoga training in 2017 from the Yoga Sanctuary in Northampton, MA. Betsy completed a yin yoga training in 2022 with Josh Summers. She has also taken various workshops in both yoga and meditation around the world. She has since taught yoga in Vermont, Martha’s Vineyard and the Berkshires to both adults and children. She primarily teaches hatha, yin and restorative yoga.

Music is one of her greatest passions, both live and recorded — Betsy also invites clients to bring in any music they may like into their sessions! She loves spending time outside; hiking, running, skiing, swimming, and exploring new places & culture through travel. In addition to learning and exploring in many ways, spending time with friends and family is also very important to Betsy!
