LIZZIE BOGOSIAN
FERTILITY AWARENESS EDUCATION | HOLISTIC SEXUAL & REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH EDUCATION
Lizzie is a Certified Fertility Awareness and Holistic Sexual & Reproductive Health Educator. She is passionate about education for empowerment. Central to Lizzie’s work is supporting people in taking charge of their health, trusting their bodies, and reclaiming their autonomy. Lizzie believes our cycles are always communicating something to us, no matter what your menstrual cycle looks like. She also believes every woman and female deserves a chance to get thorough and accurate education about cycle health.
The human body has fascinated Lizzie since childhood, when she used to flip through pages of thick anatomy books just to feel the amazement of what our bodies do! She still grieves the fact that she was never taught the incredible intelligence of her menstrual cycles when she was young. It wasn't until college, when she was determined to avoid pregnancy without hormonal birth control, that she learned about her cycle and, amazingly, how to track it (thanks to her boyfriend's suggestion!).
Lizzie’s personal health journey has led her through deep gut healing, nutrition school, plant medicine work, birth doula training, and pelvic healing. Pregnancy and labor brought a whole new level of experience, and freshly postpartum she felt a call to delve deep into Fertility Awareness and Cycle Tracking. At that time, Lizzie completed a 10-month teacher training through FEMM, becoming a Certified Fertility Awareness Educator, and later pursued a two-year program to become a Holistic Reproductive & Sexual Health Educator through The Well: School of Body Literacy.
The study of Body Literacy and Fertility Awareness has deeply changed her life. Cycle Tracking has brought Lizzie in touch with the wisdom of her body and the genius of her cycles in ways she didn’t know possible. For Lizzie, this work goes beyond the physical as it deeply reconnects her to the mystery and magic we carry as womb-bearers. It reminds her of all the ones who came before, and all the ones yet to come.
After years of study and graduating from The Well, Lizzie teaches individuals, couples and groups the Fertility Awareness Method (FAM). This is a practice of tracking different cyclical changes for reliable contraception, optimal conception, hormone health, and deep body literacy. Hormonal birth control often catches our attention, although did you know FAM is up to 99.6% effective at preventing pregnancy (equivalent to hormonal contraception)? It's amazing! This practice can be very helpful for anyone wanting to use a natural form of contraception, transition off of hormonal birth control, track and heal their hormonal health, conceive in the near or distant future, and/or deepen their connection to their unique cycle and body.
Lizzie’s approach is gentle and spacious, filled with curiosity and honor. Her deep reverence for Nature and the Earth guide her, recognizing our hormones and wellbeing move with the world around us. She welcomes anyone who feels called to work together on this journey, wherever you are on the gender and sexual identity spectrum. She is humbled and moved to be able to guide others on this walk to deeper embodiment and sovereignty.
One of her favorite parts of the work she does is sharing her fascination and awe of how female bodies work, the innate intelligence of our cycles and bodies. Lizzie loves to help open a path of deep connection and healing for someone to have with their body and cycle, in addition to being able to offer people a very effective, natural and empowering form of contraception, where the method is fully in their hands and they get to fully be in control of when or when not to get pregnant. She is also deeply honored to hold space for people's exploration of their own stories and lived experience.
Lizzie leans heavily on her connection to the earth and natural world as she leads retreats and rituals honoring our different life cycles, inner archetypes, and the mystery we are all in and come from.
When she is not working, Lizzie loves hanging out with her son, partner, and pup, being barefoot in the garden, soaking up sunshine, walking in the woods, hanging out with friends, taking a hot bath, stretching my body or dancing to music.
