SARAH GOODRICH

SEXUALITY EDUCATION

Sarah is a certified holistic sexuality educator. She provides pleasure-centered and trauma-aware sexuality education to groups of people in virtual and real-world spaces. Her classes and workshops generally include a mix of learning new information, embodied movement and art practices, and connecting with classmates in facilitated discussions. She also offers 1-on-1 educational consultations that are tailored to what clients are looking to learn (and unlearn) on their unique sexual journeys.

She believes that pleasure holds enormous transformational power, both for individuals and also for our culture collectively. Shedding shame and fully enjoying sexual pleasure are revolutionary acts because pleasure is shamed and manipulated by capitalism, white supremacy, and the patriarchy. Sexual pleasure empowers people in all aspects of their lives, which makes for a more generative and life-affirming culture for all of us.

Sarah is a cis-gendered, mostly heterosexual, generally able-bodied, white woman who’s married to a man—and she celebrates that humanity is colorful and queer! She’s an enthusiastic ally to gender- and sexuality-expansive folks, and she supports a broad spectrum of relationship styles. She strives to make her education as inclusive and accessible as possible.

She’s also a mother, and loves spreading the courageous art of sex-positive parenting. This is crucial cycle-breaking work, especially for parents who grew up with a lot of repression, and the impact of sex positivity on the lives of both kids and parents can be dramatic.

Sarah has a particular interest in supporting people to enjoy rich and fulfilling sex lives as they age. She hopes to inspire and empower folks older than she is to continue their sexual journeys and to learn from one another about new pathways to pleasure as bodies and life circumstances change.

She completed her certification as a Holistic Sexuality Educator with the Institute for Sexuality Education and Enlightenment (ISEE) in 2024. She also holds two master’s degrees, both earned at the University of Vermont (UVM) – M.S. in Natural Resources (Environmental Thought & Culture concentration) where her focus of study was the human-nature relationship (2015), and M.Ed. in Interdisciplinary Studies with a self-designed concentration in sexuality (2024).

These credentials are the fruit of a long exploration into the human-nature relationship and human sexuality. She has cultivated a rich connection with the natural world beyond herself, and has a felt sense that she is nature too—an animal who interacts with countless other organisms on this miraculous planet. Reveling in sexual pleasure brings this human-nature relationship home, into her own animal body.

When she’s not teaching about sex and holding space for personal and cultural transformation, Sarah also loves to dance, swim in rivers, walk in the woods, cook and eat, sauna and cold plunge, and of course have extremely pleasurable sex.
